The Benefits of Private Tutoring
In today’s world, thankfully, we have many choices and options available to us in almost every area of our lives. Computer based technology has advanced in the area of education and supplemental tools, such as on-line learning.
However, findings indicate these methods are unequivocally no replacement for human one-on-one interaction. The benefits of working in private sessions are immeasurable. Emphasis on success through immediate feedback is crucial to developing a student’s drive and motivation. Students begin to “take control”, as their comfort level and awareness increases. They are soon recognizing errors and are armed with the skills to correct them.
Rapport is important. My ability to understand the emotional feelings a student has toward learning helps build a bridge from negativity to positivity. I identify deficient areas to be worked upon, as well as acknowledge and celebrate a student’s strengths.
